Quilt Batting

So what’s the big difference between Cotton and 80/20?
80/20 is a blend of 80% cotton and 20% polyester. This batting will not be as warm as cotton, but it is more durable.
Cotton batting will keep you warmer, but will shrink more. We don’t recommend this for quilts that you expect to wash often, like baby quilts.

Cotton and 80/20 batting is $0.28 per inch when using the 60" bolt and for larger quilts, $0.39 when using the 93" bolt.

For quilts of that are much larger in size we have queen size and king size batting available.

We highly recommend for quilts with white or more translucent fabric to use white batting (available in both cotton and 80/20), which has a slight upcharge.

For quilts with very dark or black fabrics you may want to consider black batting, as when it is stitched the fibers of lighter colored batting can be pulled through. Black batting is special order.
